What's new this year
The 18th Gangneung Coffee Festival runs Oct 21–25, 2026, 10 am–8 pm, on Gangneung Coffee Street at Anmok Beach. From Gangneung Station, city buses 212 and 212-1 go to Anmok; the organizer asks visitors to come by public transport. Free to enjoy: a beach photo zone built from two tonnes of coffee beans, open-air cafés, coffee busking (11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6:30 pm) and tastings from local Gangneung cafés (11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 6 pm, near the main information booth). The paid Barista's Table session (20,000 won, 30 seats) runs at 2 pm on Oct 21, 22, 23 and 25 at the Global Coffee Lounge.

Details for the 2026 festivals will be updated as they become available.*Gangneung is as renowned for its delicious coffee as it is for its scenic coastline. Strolling along the cafe-lined beaches of Gangneung, visitors can experience a coffee aroma that rivals the sea breeze. Famous coffee manufacturers attend the Gangneung Coffee Festival and hold a tasting event.
