Overview
Maduhee is a traditional folk game rooted in Hakseongji, a historical record of Ulsan from the reign of King Yeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty. Through storytelling and historical interpretation, the festival reinforces the tradition and identity of Maduhee while evolving into a community-led tourism festival. By combining summer leisure activities along the Taehwagang River with lively evening programs such as the Chimaek (chicken and beer) Festival, it offers a unique seasonal experience.
